The CBC mission team was supposed to be with us in August. Ebola changed that. The trip couldn’t happen, and we couldn’t receive them.

CBC didn’t stop there. They sat down, planned, and sent gifts instead: lovely, thoughtful gifts for our children, our young people, our women and our men. This morning, we opened them

Presence without the plane ticket

We missed having you here in August. But God works in mysterious ways, and in October we felt your presence anyway. Every gift carried your love across the distance.

To Erica, the team leader, and to everyone at CBC: thank you. You have loved us and partnered with us for a long time, and you are a huge blessing to our community. Please pass our appreciation on to every friend who gave.

Words and actions

Our community is going to be excited. We proclaim the gospel in words, and this time we get to do it with actions too. You are making us the mouth, the feet and the hands of Jesus Christ.

See you in 2027

We still believe, and we still look forward to hosting you in 2027, when we’ll feel you in person, in Jesus’s name.

Until then, Christmas has arrived early.
