When friends from around the world visit Uganda through Afaayo Mission Trips, they don’t just come to serve—they encounter God’s heart in a fresh and powerful way, and they leave forever changed.

Meet Yolanda from San Antonio, Texas. During her mission trip with Afaayo Bible Church, she experienced the joy of worshiping with believers in Entebbe, shared her testimony at a Winning Woman Conference in Kayunga, served children during their gathering, and visited families in Buyegi to deliver food packages that were received with so much gratitude and joy.

While visiting homes in the community, Yolanda and her team shared the love of Jesus—and six people gave their lives to Christ! Through these moments, she discovered that mission work isn’t only about what we give, but about how deeply God transforms us in the process.

Yolanda’s heart was so moved that she decided to sponsor Simon, one of our passionate young ministers who’s now part of the Mission Next Gen Program.

Simon’s story is just one of many. There are countless young leaders waiting for someone to believe in them, support their education, and help them walk in their God-given calling.
