My name is Suzan. I am a born-again Christian and one of the teen leaders at Afaayo Bible Church. I live with my father and my two younger sisters. Growing up without a mother hasn’t been easy, but through God’s grace, I’ve learned to stay strong, trust Him, and keep hope alive. From a young age, I’ve loved being in church. It’s where I find peace and joy. Today, I serve both in the worship team and in Sunday school, helping the younger children learn about the love of Jesus. Teaching them brings me so much happiness. I always remember Jesus’ words: “Let the little ones come to Me.” I want every child to know that Jesus loves them deeply. Family and Struggles Life at home has had its challenges. Family and Struggles
Life at home has had its challenges. My father works hard to take care of us, but sometimes it’s difficult to afford everything we need, especially school fees. There were times I was sent home from school because of unpaid balances. It was painful to miss lessons, knowing how much I wanted to study and build a better future for my family.
A Ray of Hope
My life changed when I was sponsored through the Afaayo Mission Next Generation program. That moment was like a breath of fresh air. Suddenly, I didn’t have to worry about being sent home again. I could focus on my studies and my dream of becoming a doctor one day. I’m so thankful to God for this opportunity.
My Faith Journey
Afaayo Bible Church has become my home a place where I’ve grown spiritually and emotionally. Pastor Michael and Mama Grace have been like parents to me, guiding me with love and care. They’ve taught me to lead with humility, to serve with excellence, and to find strength in prayer. Through the worship team, I’ve discovered that worship isn’t just singing; it’s a place of peace where I meet God and find rest even in life’s storms.
Dreams and Aspirations
My biggest dream is to become a doctor. I want to help the sick and give back to the community that has supported me. I believe that with hard work, faith, and determination, God will make it possible.
Gratitude
I am truly grateful to Afaayo Africa Ministries for their support and love. You’ve not only helped me go to school but also surrounded me with a family that believes in me. Thank you, Pastor Michael and Mama Grace, for your mentorship and care. May God bless everyone who partners with Afaayo to change lives like mine.
