Glory to God, for a basic meal for over 185 families through COVID-19 Lock down extensions.

Dear friend,Greetings.
Indeed, it’s all glory to God for enabling us reach the starving families with a weekly meal for the last four weeks. Your generosity has helped us reach over 1,000 individuals from 185 families within our community with food. There’s no way this would have been possible without your generous giving towards our ‘Raise a Meal Campaign’, thank you so much.

As Uganda, our national COVID-19 lock-down was further extended for another 14 days, running up to the 2nd of June. This definitely comes with increased food scarcity, hyped prices leading to starvation and hunger among families.

Our Raise a Meal Campaign’ for the intervention definitely continues on to raise food for the increasing numbers of starved families and individuals. A gift of $30 a week per family will greatly make a huge impact within our immediate community. We continue to pray for you and we as well implore your prayers that the Lord will mercifully transition us all safely through the COVID-19 season.

5 fractures, 3 in the legs and 2 in the arms.

It’s coming to 2 years since Ronald was involved in a severe head-on collision with a vehicle which unfortunately sped off after causing the accident. With 5 fractures, 3 in the legs and 2 in the arms, Ronald is currently supported with metals within his body with a hope that one day he will get back onto his feet to take care of his family. Because of his inability to work, it’s been the kind Samaritans on the neighborhood who learnt about his fate that help provide a meal to his family together with his wife’s casual laboring who is now locked-down. Besides meals and healthcare, Ronald’s other biggest challenge is shelter/house rent for his wife and 3 children.

During our recent visit to the community, Antonina who is one of his close neighbors and a member of our church leadership team, kindly requested us to pay him a visit with a food package. We paid him a visit, prayed for him and with his entire family and gave them food as well.

What a joy to bring hope to those in need!

Doing Church in the COVID-19 lock down according to the Book of Acts.

In Uganda, with 21.4% of our population living below the poverty line, 40% living less than a dollar a day and with 98% of those being women, the extra 14 days into the lock-down extension means increased hunger stricken families, starving within their own homes and houses with potential possibilities of loss of lives as already reported happening from certain areas of the country. The 14 day extension has brought a lot of sadness to many families we serve. We have been receiving phone calls from some of these families asking if we have any food to provide.

Therefore friends, we kindly ask you to stand with us to feed fathers, mothers and children that have no hope of feeding and live to see another day.

Prayer Points

  1. Pray for peace, bind and break the spirit of the rising numbers of domestic violence and cases of abuse.
  2. Pray for food security in Uganda as COVID-19, floods and locusts are all heavily contributing to scarcity and the skyrocketing prices of food.
  3. Pray for the gospel ministers to provide spiritual leadership and support to their congregations and communities at large.
