Greetings from Afaayo Africa Ministries, Uganda!

Meet Lubega Yasin; he is one of our committed teenagers at Afaayo Bible Church, mentored through the Mission Next Generation program by Afaayo Africa Ministries. He joined our church during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since grown into a vibrant and passionate young leader.

Yasin is known for his joyful spirit and deep love for worship. He dances passionately for the Lord and trains younger children in dance, helping them express their faith through joyful movement and praise. His dedication continues in the children’s Sunday school, where he shares Bible stories and nurtures young hearts in the knowledge of Christ.

“I love serving in the children’s ministry because I want the little ones to grow in the knowledge of Jesus and the Bible. Sunday school means so much to me—it’s where I came to know Jesus and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior,” he shares.
For Yasin, Afaayo Bible Church isn’t just a place of worship—it’s home. “I’ve made so many friends here. Hanging out at church has helped me stay away from bad influences like drugs. This place has given me a safe path to grow,” he says with gratitude.

His life took a major turn when Mission Next Generation stepped in to support his education. “Before I joined the program, I was often sent home because we couldn’t afford school fees. But now, I don’t miss school—everything is provided for. I’m so grateful.”
