Jerisha Alamo is a precious young girl born into a family marked by both deep loss and resilient faith. She was born to Rose and the late James Kitaka, who sadly passed away just before her birth and never had the chance to see his daughter.
Her mother, Alowo Rose, carried Jerisha through a season of grief, yet held firmly to the hope found in God—believing that He is “a Father to the fatherless and a Husband to the widow.” Today, Rose is raising her seven children on her own, trusting God daily for strength and provision.
The family lives in the community of Bisaka Central, where they are active members of a local church. Despite their challenges, their faith remains strong. Two of Jerisha’s siblings currently attend Hands of Faith Nursery and Primary School, although maintaining school attendance is a constant struggle due to limited finances.
Jerisha’s Siblings:
Hellen (5 years)
Melisha (9 years)
Kennedy (13 years)
Shanita (15 years)
Mathias (16 years)
Moses (18 years)
Rose provides for her family mainly through subsistence farming—growing food in a small garden. However, this is often not enough to meet the needs of such a large household, especially when it comes to education, healthcare, and other essentials.Jerisha is a joyful child who enjoys playing with her younger sister Hellen. Together, they love to sing songs about Jesus, reflecting the faith that anchors their family.
Why Sponsorship is Needed
Due to limited income, Jerisha’s family struggles to consistently provide for basic needs, including:
Nutritious food
Medical care
Clothing
Future educational support
Opportunity to Make a Difference
Sponsoring Jerisha will not only support her growth and well-being but will also bring hope and encouragement to her entire family. Your support can help provide stability, care, and a brighter future for this young child.
