Afaayo Africa Ministries, a vibrant Christian organization dedicated to transforming believers and communities through the love of Jesus, is calling its members and supporters to a powerful spiritual season. This January, they are launching a 14-day fasting and prayer initiative starting from January 5th, centered on the powerful theme drawn from Genesis 1:28: “Becoming God’s Divine Design – I’m Created to Be”.

Embracing Our Divine Purpose
Genesis 1:28 declares: “And God blessed them. And God said to them, ‘Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.’” (ESV)
This verse isn’t just an ancient command—it’s a foundational blueprint for humanity. God created us in His image, entrusting us with purpose, authority, and creativity. Yet, in our busy lives, distractions, challenges, and spiritual battles can cause us to lose sight of this divine design. We forget who we truly are: not accidents of chance, but intentionally crafted bearers of God’s image, called to fruitfulness, multiplication (in influence, family, ministry, and community), stewardship, and dominion under His lordship.
The theme “Becoming God’s Divine Design – I’m Created to Be” invites us to realign with this original intention. Through intentional fasting and prayer, we seek God to restore, reveal, and activate the fullness of who He created us to be—overcoming limitations, breaking generational patterns, and stepping boldly into our calling.
What the 14-Day Journey Looks Like
This is more than a personal discipline; it’s a collective movement of faith. The program includes:
- Daily fasting for 14 days (January 5th onward), allowing participants to choose a fasting style that fits their health and spiritual conviction—whether a full fast, partial (e.g., Daniel fast), or fasting from specific habits/media.
- Prayer meetings every weekday at 3:00 PM — a dedicated time to gather (in person or virtually) for unified intercession, worship, and seeking God’s face.
- Revival services on Sunday evenings — powerful gatherings filled with praise, preaching, testimonies, and an atmosphere expectant for God’s presence, healing, and fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
These structured times create rhythm and accountability, helping participants stay focused and encouraged as they press in together.

Why Join This Season?
Fasting and prayer are biblical practices that humble the heart, sharpen spiritual sensitivity, and invite breakthrough. In a world filled with uncertainty—economic pressures, personal struggles, and the need for revival in our communities—this 14-day period offers a reset:
- Spiritual clarity — to hear God’s voice more clearly about your purpose.
- Breakthrough — in areas where you’ve felt stuck, whether in relationships, ministry, health, or destiny.
- Community transformation — aligning with Afaayo Africa’s vision of transformed believers who then transform their communities for Jesus.
- Deeper intimacy with God — rediscovering the joy of being fully who He created you to be.
As we surrender our plans and agendas, we make room for God to mold us into His divine design—fruitful, multiplying, and exercising godly dominion in every sphere of life.
